Jackson Cotugno

Jackson Cotugno is a saxophonist based in Seattle. Since his arrival on the Seattle music scene in 2021, Jackson has collaborated with local luminaries such as Thomas Marriott, Marina Albero, Jessica Lurie, Matt Jorgensen, Julian Preister, Wayne Horvitz, John Bishop, Jimmy James, Joe Doria, D'vonne Lewis, Marc Seales, and many others. In his early adult years, Jackson had the pleasure of studying with Chad Lefkowitz-Brown, David Sanchez, and Julian Lage as well las local legends Alexey Nikolaev, Brian Kent, and Tobi Stone. In 2022 Jackson was recognized by the local organization Earshot Jazz first with a mention, then a magazine cover with a story, and then as the recipient of Earshot's "Emerging Artist of the Year" award. Jackson is also an instrument repair technician with a specialty in Saxophones, having graduated from Renton Technical College in 2022.
