I suppose that I became interested in jazz (somewhat reluctantly) because my father played it when I was a child. It wasn't until a few years ago that I started listening seriously. Now I find that I can't get enough of it - I'm always looking for new artists to discover. I'm not able to get to many performances but I was fortunate to see Oscar Peterson at the Lichfield (UK) festival in 1985 or '86, and Stephane Grapelli in Birmingham (UK) in about '88. I'm learning all the time and loving it more and more.
