MORRIS NORTHCUTT is a distinguished trumpet soloist whose unique playing style and cultural heritage (the son of a Korean immigrant) have significantly impacted the music community. Hailing from the Pacific Northwest, he has released two acclaimed albums: “Tonada,” which delves into Venezuelan folk music, and “Moliendo Café,” featuring collaborations with multi-Grammy and Latin Grammy-winning artists, Domingo Pagliuca (trombone), Edward Ramírez (Venezuelan cuatro), Justo Morao (arranger/producer), and German Landaeta (mix and mastering engineer). Northcutt’s versatility as a musician is further showcased in his collaborations with lo-fi artist Davide Perico and contributions to video games and independent film scores. His performances have resonated across continents, demonstrating his ability to connect with audiences worldwide. Most recently, Northcutt appeared as guest trumpet and cornet soloist with the Miami Symphony Orchestra.
