Sarah Kennedy
Sarah Kennedy is the kind of performer that brightens the room before the show starts, warms every heart, and keeps listeners spellbound and smirking until the last note has faded. Her repertoire is strongly rooted in straight-ahead jazz, with influences ranging from Sarah Vaughan to Blossom Dearie, but her sound is evolving into an intriguing personal style as she ventures into original composition.
She holds a diploma in Jazz and Contemporary Voice, completed with instructors from both Vancouver Community College and Capilano University, but more recently she completed a Masters in Creative Arts Therapies from Concordia University. So in addition to being a brilliant jazz performer with a penchant for thrilling her audience, Sarah Kennedy is also a Music Therapist on a mission to enhance mental health with music.

Clinic/Workshop Information
Kaleidoscope Music Therapy was founded by Sarah Kennedy, Jazz Vocalist, Songwriter and Certified Music Therapist. The concept behind Kaleidoscope Music Therapy (KMT) is that music is a powerful tool for examining and changing our perspectives. When you turn a kaleidoscope towards the sun and adjust the view, you inevitably discover new and beautiful colours. In much the same way, music can reveal new and beautiful ways to relate to life. If you are seeking mental health support, music therapy could be an effective approach for you.
