Christopher Boscole

Composer and arranger Christopher Boscole plays piano, keyboards, and soprano saxophone.  He has produced 14 albums that cross over in a variety of genres and formats - original piano solos in improvisational, new age , folk, pop, and classical styles, jazz piano trio and sextet, contemporary instrumental jazz ensembles with synthesizers and vocals, and latest upcoming release “Time for Love” - classic love songs featuring vocals, sax, and guitar.

Boscole's music has seen years of long term charting in top 10 airplay on new age radio, Sirius, Pandora, Spotify, Musak, I tunes, You tube, and other formats. He grew up in a musical household as his mother was a singer and piano teacher. After learning music basics from his mother, he studied classical piano for years with Mikiko Miyamoto, winning honors at adjudications. Christopher studied saxophone with Bill Wicker and played sax and piano in school jazz groups and later pop music and rock n roll as he worked for years as a pianist and keyboardist with a variety of artists/bands in Seattle including Diane Schuur, Phil Sheeran, Michael Powers, Jay Thomas, Top 40 Bands - Modern Dance, Yankee, and Impala USO Air Force show tour.

I started playing piano when I was seven, after listening to my grandmother play by ear for years. I studied music at UCLA where I played analog Moog for awhile before discovering how to get sounds from a computer. That was in the 1960s. Soon after, Roger Shepard (inventor of that tone) became my mentor and enabled me to use the Stanford AI Lab to play with digital sound creation and do psychoacoustic research on it. Then that turned into cofounding CCRMA, the computer music center at Stanford, where I started digitally sampling orchestral instruments and engaged in analysis and resynthesis

Tim Bruer

Tim Bruer is a Sydney based pianist and composer. He performs regularly around the Sydney area, playing solo piano, and with various bands. He also teaches piano and a number of other subjects at The Australian Institute of Music.

Over a career spanning more than 40 years, Tim has performed with many of Australia’s finest musicians including James Morrison, Dale Barlow Jackie Orzarsky, Carl Orr, Steve Hunter, and Elana Stone. He holds both a Bachelor of Music and a Masters of Music degree in jazz performance, and has studied extensively with Mike Nock. Tim has also been featured on a number of recordings by artists such as The Acca Daiquiris, Guy LeClaire, Max Sharam and Hammerhead, and 2007 saw the release of his first CD under his own name. “The Tim Bruer Quartet” finds him collaborating with some of his favourite players, and reflects his many years of playing jazz, funk and r&b

  • 1980-85 - Support gigs for Joe Henderson, Freddie Hubbard and Johnny Griffin; performed with Don Burrows and James Morrison at Adelaide Festival Theatre; toured with Adelaide University Big Band and performed at Manly jazz festival. Graduated with Bachelor of Music degree from Adelaide University.
  • 1985-91 – Finalist in the inaugural Wangaratta jazz award; fronted own bands at Soup Plus; toured with Jive band "The Anthill Mob" and appeared on many TV shows.
  • 1992-96 - Arranger /pianist for Nielsen Gough; supported Ronnie Jordan; featured on Max Sharam's top ten single "Be Firm"; recorded with Guy LeClaire; Musical Director/pianist for Delilah.
  • 1997-2002 - recorded in London with Gene Calderazzo; recorded at Hillcrest Coachman jazz festival with Kate Swadling.
  • 2002-2007 - graduated with Masters Degree from Sydney Conservatorium of Music; released self titled CD.

Mathis Picard

Mathis Picard, born May 30th, 1995, is a French- Malagasy pianist, composer, producer, and bandleader who currently resides in New York City. Rooted in the tradition of live acoustic performance while incorporating the latest technology, Mathis creates a his own musical style that is influenced by his multi-national background. Mathis, who began playing the piano at the age of 3, was immediately passionate about music's healing quality and now focuses on sharing that passion globally. Mathis currently leads a solo project, a trio project and his orchestra, "The Sound Orchestra". Mathis has had the honor of working with artists such as Ron Carter, Lillias White, Wynton Marsalis, Lee Ritenour, Daniel J Watts, DJ Kindness, Braxton Cook, Veronica Swift, Etienne Charles and more.

Alessandro Di Liberto

Alessandro Di Liberto started studying the guitar at the age of eight, then switched to piano under the guidance of maestro S. Figliola, taking private lessons. In ‘85 he joined the Conservatory in Cagliari where he started studying classical composition with A.Guaragna. In the same period he formed his first live band and started performing in different venues in Cagliari. Having developed a passion for jazz he was accepted as a student at the Koninklijk Conservatorium in The Hague, where he studied jazz piano for several years under the guidance of pianist Rob van Kreeveld. During his stay in Holland, together with German saxophonist Klaus Gesing he founded the Di Liberto-Gesing quartet. With this quartet he toured around Holland and also took part in some international prestigious festivals as the North See Jazz Festival (The Hague), Beauforthuis (Holland), Villach (Austria), Jazz a Vienne (France). In '98 he recorded a CD in Austria entitled: "Harmonix" with the above mentioned quartet featuring {{m: Christian Weber = 14749}} on double bass and {{m: Ewald Zach = 131866}} on drums.

Born in 1990, he graduated in classical piano from the Music Conservatory in Parma. With Fabrizio Ottavucci he studied John Cage’s prepared piano and the music by other important composers from the 1900s, such as Giacinto Scelsi and Morton Feldman.

He joined the Erasmus program studying at the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk (Poland). During that period, he fell in love with jazz. He continued studying jazz in Parma with Masters Alberto Tacchini, Roberto Bonati and Roberto Dani. In 2016, he completed the bachelor in Jazz Piano with the highest mark, presenting a thesis about John Taylor’s music. In the meantime, he studied composition with Master Luigi Abbate and saxophone with Master Massimo Ferraguti. After that, he continued studying with pianist Umberto Petrin and graduated from Conservatorio di Milano with a thesis about Carla Bley’s compositions.
